Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 20, 2026. These terms govern direct bookings with Canyons PV through the website, email, phone or messaging. The provider is Esteban Zavalza Peña, operating under the trade name Canyons PV.

1. Prior information and booking confirmation

Before payment we will inform you of the chosen experience, date, time, meeting point, estimated duration, participants, physical and age requirements, included services, exclusions, total price and cancellation rules. Transportation, food, photos, insurance or additional services are not considered included unless expressly offered.

The booking is confirmed when we verify availability, receive the indicated payment or deposit and send written confirmation. The deposit amount and balance due date will be communicated before booking. The full amount must be paid before the experience begins.

If we receive a payment and cannot confirm availability, we will offer another option you may accept or a full refund. A declined or pending transaction does not equal a confirmed booking. If you do not receive confirmation, contact us before paying again.

2. Price, currency and receipts

The quote and payment summary will expressly state the currency, taxes and total. We will not add extras without your authorization. If a price advertised in another currency is charged in Mexican pesos, we will state the exchange rate and final amount before payment. Conversions or fees charged by your issuing bank depend on that bank.

Keep your confirmation and receipt. To request an invoice, send the necessary tax data to our contact email; the Clip receipt proves the charge and does not by itself replace the CFDI invoice for the service.

3. Payment processing with Clip

Canyons PV uses Clip as its payment processor. Charge authorization belongs to Clip, the card networks and the issuing bank; Canyons PV remains responsible for the contracted experience and for handling cancellation and refund requests.

Available methods, cards, authentications and promotions are those shown by the enabled payment method. Use your own card or one authorized by its holder. No recurring charges will be made for an ordinary booking. We will not add a fee just for paying by card.

The payment transaction is subject to the rules of the Clip product used. For link or QR payments, also review the specific remote payment conditions. These documents govern processing and do not replace Canyons PV's obligations to the consumer: https://www.clip.mx/terminos and https://www.clip.mx/term/terminos-pad

If you detect an error or duplicate charge, report it immediately with date, amount and reference. For remote or QR payments, Clip provides for clarification of erroneous transactions within 24 hours; that operational window does not remove legal rights nor is it the tour cancellation policy.

4. Requirements and conduct during the experience

You must review the route requirements and provide truthful information about conditions that may affect your safety. Consult a health professional if you have doubts about your fitness. Age, supervision and physical requirements must be known before payment; not every route is assumed suitable for everyone.

You must follow the guide's instructions, use the equipment correctly and avoid alcohol, drugs or behavior that puts the group at risk. Equipment provided must be cared for and returned. No automatic charges will be made for damage; any claim must be justified and allow for clarification.

The guide may stop or prevent participation in the face of a specific risk. If it results from a requirement that was not disclosed or from an operator failure, a solution or refund will be offered without penalty. If it results from the participant's non-compliance, it will be documented and the portion of service provided, justified costs and your legal rights will be assessed; there will be no automatic loss of all payment due to an arbitrary decision.

5. Risks and liability

Canyoning involves natural conditions and risks inherent to the environment. Before participating, precautions will be explained and, where applicable, a specific informed consent will be requested. Acknowledging those risks does not release Canyons PV from liability for negligence, inadequate equipment, non-compliance or rights that cannot be waived.

Insurance coverage, if offered, will be identified with its scope and exclusions before booking. Unlimited coverage is not presumed. Authorization for advertising images is optional and separate from participation.

6. Cancellation requested by the customer

For direct bookings, the following commercial rules apply, without prejudice to more favorable legal rights. Hours are counted from the confirmed tour start time, in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco local time. The date and time we receive your written request is used, even if we reply later.

  • 48 hours or more in advance: 100% refund of the amount paid for the cancelled participants. If you prefer to change the date, you may request it subject to availability.
  • Less than 48 hours: no refund applies for voluntary cancellation under this commercial policy. We may evaluate an exceptional reschedule, but it is not automatic. This rule is not applied to deny a refund required by law.
  • No-show or arrival after the previously communicated check-in close: considered a late cancellation. A delay caused by Canyons PV will not be attributed to the customer.
  • Bookings made within 48 hours of the tour: subject to the late cancellation rule from confirmation; this condition must be shown before payment.
  • Partial cancellation: the rule applies to the amount for the cancelled people. Any effect on a group rate must have been disclosed and accepted before booking.

7. Changes requested by the customer

Request changes in writing. With at least 48 hours' notice, you may choose an available date or cancel with a full refund. A change of route or category with a price difference requires your acceptance. A name change depends on the new person meeting the requirements; the holder of the original payment method does not change.

An accepted reschedule must state the new date and keep the rights associated with the payment. Late requests due to illness or emergency will be reviewed individually; complete medical records are not required and approval is not automatic.

8. Cancellation or modification by Canyons PV

If we cancel before the start due to unsafe weather, access closure, lack of availability or another cause, you may choose an alternative date without penalty or a full refund for the service not provided. We will not impose a voucher as the only solution. Light rain alone does not mean cancellation if the safety assessment allows operating.

If we must substantially modify the route, schedule or experience before the start, we will inform you and you may accept the alternative or cancel with a full refund. Minor safety adjustments do not justify arbitrarily replacing the contracted experience.

If the experience is interrupted after it begins, we will explain the cause and the solution. When feasible, you may accept a reschedule; otherwise a refund for the portion not provided will be calculated with a reasonable breakdown. If the failure is attributable to the operator, applicable legal compensation will also be honored.

9. How to request a cancellation or refund

Write to hola@canyonspv.com.mx or the messaging channel used to book. Include the booking holder's name, booking number if any, tour date, affected participants, amount and payment reference, reason and request. Do not send the full card number or security codes. A receipt with sensitive information should be shared with that data hidden.

We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and communicate a reasoned decision within 5 business days of having the essential information. If applicable, we will initiate the refund within those 5 business days and send its receipt or reference. A shorter legal deadline prevails over these service times. If we need to clarify any detail, we will say so without unjustified delay.

10. Refund method and crediting

Card payments processed by Clip will be refunded to the card used, without cash, without exceeding the original charge and without charging for processing the refund. A technical void of a charge may be handled the same day within Clip's permitted hours; afterwards, the refund procedure allowed by the product used applies.

Canyons PV will verify operating conditions and keep the funds necessary to process applicable refunds. Technical windows may vary between terminal, links and API; they are not the deadline to cancel a tour nor an authorization to deny legal obligations. If the original channel has a limitation, we will work out the solution with Clip and the bank and inform the customer; we will not unilaterally replace the refund with cash, another card or travel credit.

The date the refund appears on your statement depends on the issuer. We will report the status and provide the reference for follow-up; we do not promise immediate crediting nor confuse approval of the process with the bank credit. For installment payments, the bank determines how installments are reflected.

A full refund equals 100% of the amount paid to Canyons PV for the cancelled service: we will not deduct Clip's fee, administrative costs or undisclosed charges. Currency conversions or fees from your issuer must be clarified with that bank.

11. Errors, chargebacks and other payment methods

Duplicate charges or charges above the agreed amount will be reviewed and, once verified, corrected without penalty. If you paid by transfer or cash, we will coordinate a safe and traceable method to return the amount to the right person, with their agreement. Banking access credentials will never be requested.

You may contact your bank about an unrecognized charge or exercise other rights. Contacting us first makes clarification easier, but it is not required. If there is already a bank dispute, we will coordinate follow-up to avoid refunding the same transaction twice. We will not threaten or penalize anyone for filing a good-faith claim.

12. Consumer rights and disputes

These conditions do not limit the rights recognized by Mexican law nor prevent you from contacting PROFECO or the competent authority. In distance sales, when article 56 of the Federal Consumer Protection Law applies, revocation within 5 business days will be honored; for services, that legal rule does not apply if the service is scheduled 10 business days or less after purchase. The 48-hour commercial policy still applies when more favorable.

For a service not provided or deficient due to causes attributable to Canyons PV, applicable legal remedies will be recognized, including the corresponding compensation, with the legal minimum of 20% in the cases of articles 92 Bis and 92 Ter. Any applicable rights to damages are preserved.

For any clarification, use hola@canyonspv.com.mx or +52 322 120 5643. No exclusive jurisdiction is imposed that would deprive the consumer of the venues legally available to them.

13. Acceptance and changes to these terms

Before payment, we will make these terms and the privacy notice available for review and saving, together with your booking summary. Acceptance will be collected through an express, recordable action. Whoever books for others must inform them of the requirements; doing so does not by itself replace required personal consents.

Updates apply to future bookings from their publication. Confirmed bookings keep the accepted conditions, unless a change is agreed or required by law. An additional service or promotion cannot remove non-waivable rights.

14. Separate authorizations

Booking: "I have read and accept the terms and conditions, including the cancellation and refund policy, and I have been able to review the privacy notice."

Optional marketing: "I wish to receive Canyons PV promotions through the contact details I provided. I can unsubscribe at any time." This choice must not be pre-checked.

Health and images: when sensitive data is collected or advertising use of images is intended, an independent authorization will be used identifying the data or images, purpose, controller, holder or guardian, date and signature or valid electronic mechanism. Accepting these terms does not replace those authorizations.
